Description (EN):

Cross-border project "HealthyTomorrow" between Rural Municipality of Põlva and Administration of Strugo-Krasnensky district of Pskov region will be implemented to boost cooperation between both municipalities and their sport schools. Also develope the new sport services and increase the awareness about healthy lifestyle among habitants. In nowadays dynamically developing world with IT technologies, there is a risk of loss of physical activity. The popularization of sports among habitants, especially among children, adolescents and youth, is for that reason very important. The project will allow to change the attitude to physical health, increase the involvement of the population in regular physical activity, to set the right life landmarks and careful attitude to the health. Due to geographical location and long-standing traditions of skii trainings, project partners have the potential and desire for the formation and development of an attractive urban environment for the promotion of a healthy lifestyle for local residents through winter sports (skiing, Nordic walking). At the same time, the outdated material and technical base and the lack of sport contacts do not allow to develop this area properly. During the project there is implemented new sport services: volunteer-based activity coaches for group trainings and "club for healthy lifestyle". Also study-visits for civil servants and sport school trainers and joint trainings with participation in international sports event for youngster and non-professional adults, will be arranged. In addition, project partners purchase sport and physical training equipment, which will increases the accessibility of the population to sports services.

Expected Results (EN): Accessibility of cross border social, health and sporting services, and vocational and language training

Expected Outputs (EN):

The project results are: 1. Online study-visit(webinar) for civil servants and trainers of Põlva municipality and Administration of Strugo-Krasnensky district of Pskov region. Participants are 10 trainers and civil servants from Põlva, 10 from Strugo-Krasnensky. The aim of the study visit is to exchange good practices, strengthening the cooperation between municipalities and sports school. Põlva Sports School has eight specialities, while Strugo-Krasnensky Sports School has only three. The aim is to get acquainted with the activities of the each-others sports schools, the training programs and the training equipment: in trainers level and in administration level. Also get acquainted with the leisure sport activities. 2. new implemented sport service - activity coaches. The activity coaches training program has been developed by the NGO in cooperation with the University of Tartu, but we are not aware that activity coaches have been implemented in the way we are planning in any Estonian municipality. 3. created "club of healthy lifestyle" The club creation will allow to establish developed support system both for intellectual and physical youth potential in the region and increase the level of knowledge about healthy lifestyle among population. The proportion of district residents who are systematically involved in physical education and sports will be increased up to 30,0 percentage of the population. 4. 30 students of sports schools (age 14-18) will participate of 4 joint trainings and cross-border sport events (2 events in Estonia, 2 events in Russia). 5. 30 of non-professionals participants (age is not limited) take part the same cross-border sport events. 6. Equipment and small-scale investments are done: In Põlva - timing system and mobile arcs for sport events and competitions and outdoor gym; In Strugo-Krasnensky - 20 ski sets, 20 roll ski sets, tabloo and machine for skiing trails maintance.
